was founded January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. by five co-eds: Arizona Cleaver, Myrtle Tyler, Viola Tyler, Fannie Pettie, and Pearl A. These women dared to depart from the traditional coalitions for Black women and sought to establish a new organization predicated on the ideals of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love and Finer Womanhood. f Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was chartered September 22, 1993, by five determined women- Latarsha Russell, Aileen Hymiah, Greta Cokley, Lonia (Faith) Abbott, and Tomeka Hill.The women who dared to establish the Zeta presence on campus committed themselves, and the women that would follow them, to upholding the ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and to making an impact on Duke's campus and the Durham, NC community.

As we kick off the summer, let's take a look at what the Duke Zetas were up to this spring!

Between serving the community, strengthening our sisterhood, and enjoying collaboration, we are extremely grateful for all that this semester brought and are excited to see what comes next!

We are thrilled to announce that this spring, the Duke Zetas were awarded Duke FSL Chapter of the Year, as well as Program of the Year for our Black History Month SpeakeaZy!

We also welcomed five amazing new members into our chapter and can't wait to see the impact they make on our community!
