I recently got a notice from Meta saying that this page will be taken down. Assuming that is real I just wanted to let everyone know to gather any pictures they may want. The page has been pretty inactive. I cannot believe it has been 10+ years since the gala. Love you all.

It is time to admit that DLNOW is finished. We are just not able to continue without Naomi. She was the heart that drove us. Although we have better organization, more money, 401c3 status, and more experienced volunteers, we are unable to secure a venue. Naomi did this through sheer force of will.

I would like to once again thank our wonderful volunteers, who were key to getting the gala to work for four years.

To our attendees, I know from the stories that you tell that the gala touched many of your lives. I will cherish these memories as I hope you do.

The Butchers are arranging with Knightdale parks and rec. To visit and look at a gym we may rent out for the gala. This fall or next spring?? Any preferences?

Good news. Thanks to Audrey, I will be touring the Southern Star Ballroom (6625 Falls of Neuse) next Tuesday March 24th at 4 PM as a possible site for this years gala. If anyone is interested in attending with me please pm, comment and or contact me to discuss it Jeff Smith
