In order to spot your child quickly if there's an emergency, it's important to pick the right swimsuit colors for safety is more significant than most people realize.

🌊Water absorbs light unevenly, making only a few select colors stand out from under the surface.

☀️Neon yellow & neon green stand out, while blues, oranges, and pinks disappear completely underwater due to glare & color distortion in pools.

🤽Chlorine, ripples, and bright sunlight scatter light, making white and light pastels look like surface reflections.

This week three of the amazing CPST Instructors from our coalition in Durham were recognized at the Safe Kids North Carolina Annual Conference for 20+ and 25+ years of service as a CPST and CPST-I! Please help us thank Theresa Cromling John O'Donnell and Bill Hall.

Please help us to congratulate our Safe Kids Coordinator, Shannon Jackson, for being named North Carolina’s Safe Kids Coordinator of the Year at the Safe Kids North Carolina Annual Conference in Cherokee this week. This is not only recognition of her hard work and unwavering dedication, but also all of the amazing work and effort of our entire coalition and our volunteers! This award would not be possible without all of our coalition members and community partners, and the constant dedication Durham has to keeping our children safe. Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
