We organize two hour blitz volunteer sessions on Saturday mornings where groups of 20+ volunteers help teachers with whatever they need.

Teachers and principals contact us on an as-needed basis whenever they need a group of volunteers and we connect them.

Hello Bull City Classrooms supporters!

I hope that everyone has been finding ways to take care of themselves and their communities over these past few months. As some of you may know, Durham Public Schools will be starting the first 9 weeks of the school year remotely. While this is happening, Bull City Classrooms is looking for ways to help schools prepare for an in-person return.

We at Bull City Classrooms are dedicated to supporting teachers during this uncertain time, and we are equally dedicated to the health of our volunteers, DPS partners, and greater Durham community. Please read our section on Covid 19 and Bull City Classrooms found on our website.

Eastway Elementary School is currently looking for volunteers to help re-structure classrooms to accommodate new guidelines. If you’re interested, they need help on three dates: August 15th, September 12th, and October 17th. Sign-ups for each of the three days can be found on our website.

‪Join us for a Tree Planting at W G Pearson Elementary this Saturday March 7th. Keep Durham Beautiful and Trees Durham are hosting this event and are in need of volunteers. Sign up for this event on our website and feel free to email us with any questions.

Hello everyone. We were informed that the supplies to build the friendship benches at E.K. Powe did not arrive on time and we will have to reschedule tomorrow’s volunteering event. We will keep you informed as soon as we have a new date. Thank you.

The weather is going to be great this Saturday. Join us at E.K. Powe Elementary as we help build friendship benches for the children’s playground. Our great sponsor Monuts will be providing some coffee and bagels for you to enjoy before we get started.
