When our team isn’t supporting clients, we’re simply showing up for our neighbors 💙

This time seven World Relief team members joined volunteers from across the community at Farmer Foodshare.

Each Wednesday, volunteers pack boxes of fresh for partner organizations across the Triangle, helping more families access fresh, locally grown food. Some of those boxes may even reach some of the refugee and immigrant families WRD supports.

In response to the limited scope of the FY2027 presidential determination on refugees to be admitted, World Relief is calling for the U.S. to reopen refugee resettlement to those fleeing persecution and provide a pathway to safety for refugees in need.

Here in the Triangle, our commitment to welcome continues. We will keep showing up for refugee and immigrant neighbors, supporting families and creating opportunities for connection, stability and belonging.

Today is National Good Neighbor Day, a reminder that being a good neighbor can be as simple as letting someone know, “I’m here for you.” 💙

For many of our refugee and immigrant neighbors, daily life holds both hope and uncertainty. Missing loved ones. Carrying worries quietly. Working, caring for family and building a future while so much feels unknown.

We may not have every answer, but we can listen, offer a ride, share a meal and keep showing up.

To our immigrant neighbors across the Triangle: You matter. You belong. And you are not alone.
