Durham Independent Dance Artists - DIDA DIDA raises the profile of independent dance in Durham by curating a season of dance performances by local choreographers.

We connect audiences & artists, providing audiences with easy access to local work & providing artists with increased visibility. Individual artists in the DIDA season still have total creative control and responsibility: they create, pro

duce, and promote their own work at their own locations, while DIDA facilitates press coverage and audience contact. More broadly, DIDA is pushing change in how local choreographers make work: by sharing resources and committing to our work in advance, we believe we can professionalize without losing our independent spirit. The DIDA team is Nicola Bullock, Lightsey Darst, Allie Pfeffer, Alyssa Noble, Justin Tornow, and Leah Wilks.
