Resident and veteran John L. has a story he’s deeply passionate about—one that honors the legacy of war veteran John Abbott. Recently, John revisited the memorial site dedicated to Abbott, a place that has held a special spot in his heart since childhood. As its caretaker growing up, John was disheartened to find the site overgrown, unkept, and far from the condition a soldier of such honor deserves.
With November being Veterans Month, John felt an even deeper responsibility to bring attention to this injustice. He has reached out to local Legions and Veteran Associations, advocating for proper maintenance and year-round accessibility of the memorial. His commitment to preserving Abbott’s memory is driven by respect, pride, and a genuine desire to do right by a hero.
At Harmony, we are proud to stand behind John and support his efforts however we can. His passion inspires us, and we’re honored to help shine a light on this meaningful cause.
