Creekside Cares

Creekside Cares We are a Creekside at Bethpage service club. We are not afraid to dream big and set bold goals. Founded in August of 2017 as the Creekside Blue Belles.

We celebrate the experience, history and diversity of our neighbors through service, charity, fun, and positive thinking! We changed our name to Creekside Cares to welcome all residents of Creekside at Bethpage. In 2019 we were awarded a SPARK Initiative Advocated Award. This award is presented at a Durham School Board meeting to influencers who work outside of DPS to develop community partnershi

ps, increase engagement and support for DPS, and improve student outcomes. In 2020, we received the Governor's Volunteer Service Award in Durham County in the Group Division. We were also awarded the prestigious Medallion Award for the entire county. The Medallion Award is presented to the top 20 volunteers in the State of North Carolina.

Creekside Cares has enjoyed an ongoing relationship with Neal Middle School in Durham since last year. Volunteers are needed to help with the upcoming book fair in the media center. The school is located at 201 Baptist Road in Durham. To learn more about this opportunity, see this link to their SignUp Genius.. Two volunteers are needed for each shift, so feel free to sign up with a friend. Masks are required. Thank you!

The school is also very appreciative of any donations you might like to make in support of students who are unable to make book fair purchases due to financial constraints. These community donations are added to proceeds from the previous years' book fair to create gift certificates from the "Book Fairy." Donations can be as small as $1. Please visit their eWallet site to make a safe direct contribution to the school.

As always, we appreciate your help.

GOOD NEWS! The upcoming snow day has given us extra time to order cookies. We will have a new pick up day!

Thank you to everyone who has ordered. Your support means the world to the girls and their leaders.

As you may know, our clubhouse is closed tomorrow and Saturday. This means we cannot host our drive-up cookie service up as planned. Troop 1001 has provided us with another week to place orders. The new pick-up date will be Saturday, January 29 from 1-3 pm.

If you would like to order cookies, please email them at [email protected]

It is Girl Scout Cookie Time at Creekside.

Creekside Cares and our Creekside Community have been supporting Troop 1001 for 4 years now. This is another great way we can support local kids. We are continuing this tradition again in 2022.

The volunteers and girls of Troop 1001 will be holding their annual Creekside cookie event via drive thru cookie booth at Hemingway Hall on January 22, 2022 from 1 - 3 p.m. To order cookies, please email them at troop1001gs@gmail

Sending out our thanks to our Creekside Veterans. We are making a donation to the American Legion in your honor. We hope we can honor you at Hemingway Hall next year. Thanks to our goodie brigade for your support too. We had more neighbors contribute to our event to honor our Creekside Veterans and Gold Star families than ever before.

Serving our community with heart.

We are a Creekside at Bethpage service club. Open to all residents at Creekside, we organize the Veterans Day Event; and we have adopted a local elementary school WG Pearson STEAM Magnet. We love making a difference in our community while celebrating the diversity, experience and history of our neighbors. We are not afraid to dream big and set bold goals. We were originally founded in August of 2017 by Rhonda Van Voorhies and Lori College. Check out our website: www.creeksidecares.org
