Last night, we kicked off the 3rd edition of Success Looks Different for Everyone!
We started our 3rd year at a local homeless shelter, and the energy in the room was powerful. The participants were so receptive, and their excitement when they found out I was leading the workshop honestly made the night even more special.
We talked about how success is viewed, how it’s taught, and unpacked a few key ideas around redefining success in real life.
At the end, I asked what they want to see from this year’s workshops and they came with real, thoughtful asks:
Budgeting & Sustainability
How to budget + how to actually sustain your life
Starting a Business (in plain English)
What’s really needed to get started and what it takes to keep a business going
Self-Esteem & Character Building
How to keep your self-esteem high in tough situations
Women in Careers
A career panel so participants can see different career paths
And I told them these weren’t “big asks” because I know people.
So now I’m calling on YOU, friends, family, internet friends, and community builders.
Some of these topics can’t (and shouldn’t) be tackled alone. Our overarching theme this year is COMMUNITY, and this is what that looks like in action.
If you have experience in any of these areas and want to support the workshop series, reach out. Let’s build this together.
Our next workshop is May 14 and I would like to tackle the Budgeting discussion on that day.
