Fannie Lou Hamer risked everything to fight voter suppression in Mississippi — and changed American democracy in the process.

This Black History Month, SOLVE is uplifting the voices of advocates from the past who advanced voting rights.

Fannie Lou’s legacy reminds us: voting rights were never freely given. They were fought for. ✊🏾🗳️
