Delta Zeta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity was founded in 1961. Bolden, James Cheek, N.B. Cheek, Lionel Cook, Sedrick Cuthbertson, Leonard Davis, Lemarque Dejarmon, Ronald Forman, Sr., C.G. Gates, Walter M. Grandy, Thomas A. Hammie, John Harrell, H. Holmes, J. Houston, L. Knox, James Moffitt, E. Norris, MD., John Peel, Joseph Settles and Ralph Yokley. These twenty (20) men came from all over the U.S.A. to bring Durham, N.C. this Grand Chapter of Sigma.

| The brothers of the Delta Zeta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated proudly celebrate Brother Everett Leon Goldston Sr. on the occasion of his 100th birthday.

Recently surrounded by family, friends, fellow alumni, members of the Hillside High School Class of 1942, fraternity brothers, and the greater community, Brother Goldston was honored for a lifetime of faith, leadership, service, and impact.

A WWII veteran, lifelong educator, and devoted servant to the community, Brother Goldston’s legacy continues to inspire generations through his example of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.

Happy 100th Birthday, Brother Goldston.

March of Dimes Walk 2026 💙

Proud of the entire Blue Phamily and our NPHC partners who showed up with heart today. The weather tried to slow us down, but the Bull City Sigmas and our young leaders of the Sigma Beta Club powered straight through those rain clouds and represented with excellence.

Service is what we do. Brotherhood is who we are. And supporting healthy moms and babies is a mission we stand behind every year.
