This week on , we are honored to spotlight a true trailblazer in Durham — Beverly “BJ” Council! 👏🏾🔥
BJ made history as Durham’s first Black female Deputy Police Chief and continues to lead with purpose, passion and community at the center of her work. She is the founder of You & Five-O, LLC., a current member of Durham County JCPC and an active member of the NAACP — creating pathways, opportunities and advocacy for youth and families across our city.
In this powerful conversation, our youth correspondents sit down with BJ to talk leadership, service, public safety, mentorship and what it means to break barriers while staying committed to the community. 💯
This is more than a podcast episode — it’s a conversation about impact, legacy and the importance of investing in youth voice. 🎤✨
