UNH POLY / PMSE Student Chapter The UNH POLY/PMSE Student Chapter was created in 2021 and is affiliated with the ACS POLY and PMSE divisions.

We created this group with the hopes of connecting students who are interested in polymer science while also introducing others to the field.

Another successful day of Chemists Celebrate Earth Week!👩‍🔬 In todays activity, carminic acid was extracted from dried cochineal bugs. A variety of colors were made by altering the pH and the dye solutions were used to tie-dye cottons squares and lab coats!

There is no scheduled event for tomorrow as we will be attending Polymer Day at MIT. Activities will continue on Thursday with some flower planting in the courtyard of Parsons at 12:30PM 🌷We hope to see you there!

Our chapter is happy to announce that we will be participating in Chemists Celebrate Earth Week (CCEW)!🌎We will be starting off the week with a bake sale to help spread the word. Our first meeting will be held this Wednesday, June 9th from 1pm to 2pm in the courtyard of Parsons Hall. During this meeting, we will take some time to get to know each other and plan our first event - a 3-minute pitch competition! Food and drinks will be provided!

We will also use it to spread information/resources for those who are interested in exploring the world of polymer chemistry and materials science.
