Bull City Woodshop

Bull City Woodshop What we offer:

After School Program:
Geared towards students in grades 3-12. Workshops:
Planned and offered to adult groups.

The Bull City Woodshop is a youth centered organization that guides individual development, fosters community connection, and cultivates creativity through woodworking. Founded in 2021, The Bull City Woodshop was created to empower youth in their abilities through woodworking education and mentorship.

Our goal is for every student who enters the program to leave The Woodshop with an increased co

nfidence in their own abilities to be a successful and contributing citizen to our community. Our goal is to provide high quality woodworking instruction which will prepare participants to enter higher education or a skilled trade with confidence and resources. At the end of each workshop, participants will take home a completed project that they have built in the Bull City Woodshop. (Cost paid by participant based on the project selected- profits from this program will aid in funding the after school program)

We're excited to be attending the American Association of Woodturners Symposium next weekend! πŸͺ΅

18 BCW students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on classes, learn from experienced woodturners, and connect with the woodworking community from across the country.

Along with our booth, we are honored to be part of the Symposium's Empty Bowls initiative. Throughout the event, AAW members donate handcrafted bowls and turned items, which are sold to attendees for $25 each. Every purchase helps support BCW's educational programs and mission to provide hands-on woodworking opportunities for youth and adults in our community.

If you're attending the Symposium, stop by, say hello, and consider taking home a one-of-a-kind piece while supporting a great cause.

We look forward to our time at the symposium!

What an incredible evening celebrating the impact of 5 Years! πŸͺ΅ 🀝 πŸ₯³

At this year's Springboard event, we raised over $12,000, recognized our first three graduates, and celebrated the volunteers who have helped make this program possible.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, and believed in the power of creating opportunities through craftsmanship, mentorship, and community. We can't wait to see what the future holds for our graduates and the next generation of makers.

We are so excited to welcome Yea Seul (Leslie) Park to the Bull City Woodshop community! Leslie comes to us with five years of woodworking experience, a craft she originally picked up as a restorative hobby during her career as a software engineer. Although she is just starting her journey with BCW, her passion for the craft and her background in building garden beds and other projects make her a wonderful addition to the shop. Please join us in welcoming Leslie as she joins our team of volunteers!
