And that's a wrap for SITP 2026! Many thanks to the 2k+ folks who enjoyed As You Like It - and to the tenacious cast who braved wind, rain, heat, and sweat to bring an excellent show to the Triangle.

Up next: we're moving indoors (!!!) for the summer. Pirates! A Boy At Sea, playing at Burning Coal Theatre and starting July 17th. Sword fights, shark shenanigans, and a good old fashioned pirate adventure await kids of all ages.

What a beautiful sunny weekend for some outdoor merriment at Fred Fletcher Park! Thank you Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department for hosting us before our Memorial Day break.

Shakespeare in the Parks: As You Like It arrives at Knightdale Parks and Recreation this weekend. Catch the final two performances at Knightdale Station Park, Saturday at 6pm, Sunday at 2pm, before summer heat really kicks in.

Food trucks, music, medieval weaponry, and free Shakespeare – sound like a perfect spring afternoon to you? Fred Fletcher Park hosts As You Like It this weekend – get there early enough and you can leave your lawn chair at home, too:

- Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is hosting us, as well as providing some first-come-first-served tents and chairs (thank you Billy!)
- Get your beef sliders, loaded tots, soft-serve ice cream and other comfort food from Beef Street and a Pig, in the Washington St. parking area.
- Check out the selection of chainmail jewelry and safe-for-the-kiddies medieval weaponry at the Welded Dragon Studios tent.
- On Saturday 5/16, 5pm, catch singer-songwriter Ryan Mullaney on her way through the Triangle for some guitar originals and covers.

VIP Reserved tix are still available for Sunday’s show (Saturday is sold out). Guaranteed seat under a shady tent, plus our thanks for supporting community theater.

CASTING BREAKDOWN:

Captain McGovern/Dad: Male, any ethnicity, 25-35. As McGovern, he is an 18th-centurh British naval captain - strict, believes in law and order, and authoritative and precise leader, emphasizes loyalty. As Dad, he still has a belief in the rules and honoring your word, but he is also caring and guides with a gentler hand. Actor should be comfortable with comedy and a strong mover. Stage combat experience (sword fighting) is a plus but not required.
