As we stand on the threshold of a new year, we pause to reflect with gratitude and look forward with purpose.

To the young men of NCKOP this past year has been one of growth, learning, challenges, and achievement. Each of you has taken steps forward, sometimes quietly, sometimes boldly, but always moving toward your potential.

Tonight is more than the turning of a calendar. It is an opportunity to reset your focus, renew your commitment, and realign your actions with your values. The year ahead will bring new responsibilities, new goals, and new opportunities to lead at home, in school, in your communities, and within our organizations.

Remember this:
• Your character matters more than your circumstances.
• Your choices today shape your future tomorrow.
• You are never alone—your mentors, families, and this brotherhood and sisterhood stand with you.

As you enter the new year, commit to excellence, integrity, service, and faith. Believe in who you are becoming, not just who you have been. Carry forward the lessons of the past year, but step confidently into the promise of the next.

On behalf of our leadership, advisors, and mentors, we wish you a safe, joyful, and meaningful New Year’s Eve and a year ahead filled with purpose, progress, and success.

Happy New Year. Press forward. The best is yet to come.

Recently, District #17 organized an outing for the Knights to attend the Monster Jam Truck Show at the PNC Arena. This event was a fantastic experience for both the boys and the Brothers, who enjoyed watching the massive trucks perform thrilling stunts and dirt-churning moves that captivated the entire audience.

More importantly, this outing served as an opportunity to strengthen the bond of trust that is essential in mentoring. By providing experiences that promote growth and mentorship, the Brothers of District 17 are helping to build character, confidence, and self-assurance in their Knights. Through these efforts, they are paving the way for these young men to become strong individuals, well-prepared for future success.

We encourage other councils to share the activities and initiatives they are undertaking in their areas. By exchanging ideas and experiences, we can inspire and support one another in our shared mission to guide and uplift the next generation. Together, we can make an even greater impact in the lives of the young men we mentor.

DDGM Hicks, thanks for sharing this Knight outing with us.

This past weekend, Assistant Grand Knight Directors James Purington (Piedmont) and Andrew Gibson (Western), along with Master Knight Diondre Stewart, took part in an investiture ceremony for new members of Macedonia Council 60.

Macedonia Council 60 is sponsored by the Brothers of Macedonia Lodge 629 in District 23 of the Piedmont region. Their steadfast support has been instrumental in the council’s growth, helping the boys increase their membership from 7 to 11 active members. This growth reflects the dedication and commitment of both the council members and the lodge in fostering leadership, community service, and camaraderie among the young members.

The investiture ceremony was a significant milestone, symbolizing the continued development and success of Macedonia Council 60.
