Big Five staff celebrated Hunger Action Day last week at our Coalgate office. We partner with the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank to help serve the people of Coalgate and Coal County to meet hunger needs.

Last week, Oklahoma Farm Bureau celebrated Read An Ag Accurate Book Week, helping promote agricultural literacy and teaching children about the important role agriculture plays in our everyday lives.

Kingfisher County Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Council member Sonya McGee, along with her InterBank coworker Angel Molina, visited our Hennessey Big Five Head Start classroom and read Farm Boots to the children.

The children enjoyed learning about agriculture, and each child received a boot coloring page and a coloring book to take home.

A big thank you to Sonya, Angel, and Oklahoma Farm Bureau for spending time with our Head Start children and making learning about agriculture fun!

Big Five Community Services and Southern Oklahoma Rural Transit was one of 36 agencies with the United Way of South Central Oklahoma that participated in the Day of Action in Ardmore.
