Light of Hope Shelter, Inc. The purpose of Light Of Hope Shelter, Inc. is to provide , food, necessities, etc. for the homeless. Light of Hope Shelter Inc. We are a small origination.

is a Non Profit Organization that will do anything we can to help the homeless. We feed the homeless 4 Saturdays a month. We are raising money to actually build a Shelter. While we wait for the funds to come in, we have been Feeding them , giving them warm clothes, and blankets, hats , gloves, socks, scarfs, and sleeping bags. We have giving out tents and tarps so they can use these items to stay

warm. We also send them home weekly with a bag of groceries and hi-gene items. We also give them plenty of water and they seem to really appreciate this. We also try to help them find things in the community that will help meet their needs. Most of the things we do, we use our own funds for it or we get donations. I am asking for the community to come together and help us in this cause. This past week the snow storm was so bad that many homeless were out in the cold. But thanks to Browns Funeral Home some of them had a place to stay. This is just a temporary fix for a permit ant problem that Durant has been facing for the past 3 years. So got a new phone and Light of Hope ministries is still going strong; we still feed the homeless every Saturday from 11:30 until 1:30. If you have donations of any kind we take them on Saturdays . The place to drop them off is Grace Baptist Church. It is also the place to get a good home cooked meal every Saturday. God Bless y’all and be the Light. I want to send. Huge thank you to those who helped all last year and who are helping this year. We have sone new ones because God is so Good.

Durant Print and Ship is getting ready for the holidays. We will kick them off the 30 th. With all kinds of fun things going on. We also have our new T-shirts just in time for Christmas or some you can wear year year round . They range from 20.00 to 25.00 for short and long sleeve shirts. Come in and pick yours out before they are gone. Also do a little shopping early and we can wrap your gifts and ship them all in one place. God Bless you and Happy Shopping.

Our Sisters and Brothers in Christ with The Believers Church, and Light of Hope Shelter, Inc. will be providing a spaghetti dinner (free of charge) for any of our friends who are hungry, and needing a good hot meal on Saturday at lunch from 11:30- 1:00 pm

We will also be distributing meals to all known locations for our friends without housing. If needing a meal please send us a message and we will get one to you. Also if you have messaged us in the past 5 days needing supplies we will also be using this opportunity to get items needed to you as well. Light of hope will be feeding tomorrow from 11:30 to 1:30 from Grace Banpist Church. They do more than just feed the un sheltered. We minister to them, pray with them , and give out supplies they need. We can take donations right now of any kind.
Canned food, or perishable, clothes, hygiene items, blankets, coats, scarfs, socks and shoes, and even tarps or tents. If you have a donation you can take it to Grace Baptist Church on Main Street in Durant. We need volunteers also. Pray about it and see if God leads you to helpor get involved with our cause. We are having a Gathering to bring people from the community here. We will be starting at 5 and go as long as people are still here. We want the Spirit of the Lord too move in a mighty way. I hope you come to Be apart of this. This is a another answered prayer. God asked me to do this and it just fell into place. The word of the Lord is true. The blessngs he gives are so good. I hope you come out and enjoy your night with us.
