Had some assistance this morning with watering trees on Durant Main Street! My guy watered trees, picked up trash, and made the morning really enjoyable!! What a helper!! 🙌😍🥳

If you see us walking along Tuesday morning's - give a shout! After this summer, the native trees will be self-sufficient and remain a growing part of the beautification projects in progress throughout our Main Street corridor.

We will meet on 9th & Arkansas and pick up trash along the train tracks. This an area that collects lots of debris and your help is greatly needed! See site map for details. Parking is available and we have all the appropriate tools, vests, gloves, etc.

In total we gave away 9 bicycles with help from Walmart and over 20 helmets so kiddos can ride safely in the City of Durant!

Giddy Up!! It's the 2026 Durant Bike Rodeo! 🥳🤠🚲

Families come enjoy this FREE event promoting bike safety for young riders! This 12-Station course will teach young riders the importance of bike safety, helmet fitting, and bike adjustments. Skills to promote obstacle avoidance, hand signals, blind corners, and more will be covered! Parent or guardian must be present.

A fun, hands-on event packed with everything young cyclists need to ride safe and ride smart. Complete the Bike Rodeo Course for a chance to win one of 9 bikes and 60 helmets! Plus, the police department will be cataloging bikes for their new Bike Registry Program!

The Durant Bike Rodeo is this Saturday, May 16th from 9:00 - 1:00 and we have sign up options for one hour or two!
