TODAY, APRIL 22, IS EARTH DAY! Durango had a great Earth Day celebration this Saturday with a parade, tons of vendors, great music, delicious food. So much fun! But today is the official Earth Day. The Earth Day Celebration is striving for a completely Zero Waste event. While we haven’t quite achieved it, yesterday we dropped from four bags in 2025 to three bags. To put that in perspective, the entire trash footprint of the event which drew hundreds of people over four hours only made the trash which fit in one residential City of Durango garbage can. That’s something to be proud of. Next year, we’ll keep encouraging people to Bring It!
