Manna Durango is looking for a part-time dedicated, hands-on individual to help support our mission of nourishing neighbors and strengthening our community.

In this role, you'll help support daily operations in our Community Kitchen, Take-out Window, Food Market, and Backpack Program, assist with food donations and meal distribution, coordinate volunteers, and help maintain a welcoming and safe Manna campus.

Our 2nd Annual Our Streets, Our Stories was truly something special!

Despite the rain, our community showed up. You filled the Manna Durango campus with laughter, meaningful conversations, new connections, shared meals, and a genuine desire to learn more about the people and stories behind Manna.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, shared their story, donated, sponsored, cooked, served, and helped behind the scenes, THANK YOU. You are what made this evening so powerful.

Six Years of Feeding Our Community, Together. 💚

For more than six years, the Chip Huntoon Annual Food Drive has brought our community together around one simple but powerful idea: neighbors helping neighbors. Please share this post, donate what you can, and help us continue feeding our community with dignity and care.

This year, Rotary Club of Durango Daybreak: The Hands On Club and Manna Durango Community Resource are once again asking our community to help stock Manna’s shelves and provide food for local families and seniors experiencing food insecurity.

Help Fill Our Shelves
Saturday, October 10 | 9 AM to 1 PM

Drop off donations at:
Albertsons • Nature’s Oasis • City Market North • City Market South

Some of our greatest needs include canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned proteins, peanut butter, oatmeal, cereal, pasta, and personal care items.

Saturday, October 3 | 9:30–11 AM
4–6 volunteers needed to carry the Manna banner and share Huntoon Food Drive flyers.

Saturday, October 10 | 10 AM–2 PM
4 volunteers needed to help coordinate donations from all four grocery locations and sort food back at Manna.

We Are Ready for You! 🎉

Manna Durango's Free 2nd Annual Our Streets, Our Stories is about to begin! This is a rain or shine event and we are ready for anything!

Event Time: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM

We are excited to welcome you to Manna for an evening of connection, storytelling, food, and community.

Parking & Free Shuttle Service -
Because of current construction and detours near Manna, we strongly encourage guests to park at the Durango Transit Center:

A free shuttle will run between the Transit Center and Manna approximately every 15 minutes throughout the event, making it easy to get here and back to your vehicle safely.

What to Expect

Throughout the evening, Manna Board Members will lead guided campus tours approximately every 10 minutes, giving you an inside look at our programs, services, and the people behind Manna’s work.

You can also look forward to live music, amazing personal stories, meaningful community connection, and an incredible meal featuring:

Layered enchiladas and fixings, rice, beans, chips and salsa, drinks, and Manna cookies for dessert.

This September, we’re celebrating National Fruits & Veggies Month — a time to highlight all the ways fresh, colorful produce supports a healthier community. We’re proud to feature Manna Durango, one of our local partners making fruits and veggies more accessible for everyone in La Plata County.

Manna grows over 2,000 pounds of produce each year in their onsite garden, and all of it is shared with the community at no cost. Their partnerships with local farmers help keep food out of the waste stream and on people’s tables through an innovative “after‑market” purchasing program.

Manna distributes fresh fruits and vegetables through their food market thanks to twice monthly deliveries from Care & Share, and their partnership with Just Peachy has brought tens of thousands of pounds of Colorado‑grown produce into daily meals and community distribution.

This month — and every month — we celebrate the organizations that make healthy food accessible, support local agriculture, and strengthen community wellbeing. Thank you, Manna, for everything you do to help our community have more fruits, more veggies, and more ways to thrive.
