Congratulations to all our wrestlers who competed at Regionals this weekend in Alamosa! We took 13 middle school kids and 3 elementary kids and all but 3 placed and qualified for State! Thanks to all of our coaches and families who came out and supported these kids! Keep on grinding 👊

First practice and parent meeting tonight 🤼Divisions 1&2 will start at 5:15 and Divisions 3,4&5 will start at 6:00. Please make sure your wrestler has shoes (we’ll have some to buy & have a shoe swap) and that their nails are cut. Excited to see you all there!

Season starts one week from today on 2/10!! If you haven’t registered your wrestler(s) please do so now! All your child needs for practice is shorts, a tshirt and wrestling shoes. We’ll have a shoe swap as well as an opportunity to buy Rudis shoes as part of a fundraiser for DHS so if you don’t have shoes yet, don’t worry! Excited to see you all out there!

Last night we got to celebrate the end of our wrestling season and the Lavengoods! Steve and Tamra Lavengood have faithfully served on the DWC board for 25 years and last night, announced that they are officially retiring. Their years of dedication and service have been invaluable and we are forever grateful for all they’ve done for our wrestling community. And while they are stepping down from the board, they will still be around so be sure to say hi and thank them when you see them ❤️🖤

And with that being said, we now have some openings in our board that need filled. If you think you’re interested in serving and love wrestling, please come talk to Kenny or Krista and we’d love to talk all things DWC!

Hey All!
I know the season is coming to an end, but the wrestling can continue!
Up in Grand Valley (Parachute/Battlement Mesa), they are holding an awesome youth tournament for kiddos 14 and under.
The 4th Annual Cody Miles Memorial Battle For The Buckle is set for April 26th. As the flier states, you can register on Track Wrestling with "Durango Wrestling" as your team.
This is a well run tournament and worth the trip!
