💔 A Heartfelt Message from MI Turning Point 💔

Hey friends, we need to talk. With heavy hearts, we’ve made the tough decision to return to our core mission: supporting our wounded veterans. Why, you ask? Unfortunately, our free store has faced challenges with theft. Items meant to help veterans and women escaping domestic violence have been taken and resold. It hurts us deeply to see this happen to those we aim to support.

To everyone in our community: if you see items outside our building, please remember that taking them is stealing from our brave heroes. Every item lost is a step back for those in need. 💔

Let’s come together to protect our mission and honor those who have sacrificed so much. Please share this message to raise awareness and help us spread kindness! Together, we can make a real difference. ❤️🙏

We have an important update to share. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Free Store in Durand will be returning to its heartfelt mission of serving only our courageous wounded veterans. 🇺🇸 If you hold a military ID, we’re here for you!

Your sacrifices and bravery inspire us every day, and we want to ensure you have the support you need. This is a community that cares, and we’re honored to stand by your side.

🌟 Making a Difference Right Here in Durand! 🌟

Yesterday, we had the honor of helping a local homeless couple who walked through our doors. They left with essential items like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and even a cozy blanket! 🛏️💖

Did you know that nearly 600,000 people experience homelessness on any given night in the U.S.? 🤯 And some of them are right here in our own community!

💔 A Heartfelt Story 💔

Today at MI Turning Point, the free store in Durand, we met a remarkable woman who had to flee an abusive situation. She spent weeks homeless in her car, feeling lost and alone, with only the clothes on her back. 😢

When she walked in, you could see the weight of the world on her shoulders. But today, thanks to our caring community, we were able to provide her with warm winter boots and essentials to help her heal and rebuild her life.

🌟 Even though we’re down to just one day a week, our hearts are here every single day! 💔

Last week, a courageous mom reached out to us, having just escaped a heartbreaking situation. With her two little boys in tow, she walked through our doors searching for clothes and shoes. It was a tough moment, but we were there to help. As we handed each boy their new clothes, their eyes lit up with hope. And when we gave them books, their smiles broke through the heaviness of their past. 📚👟

It’s moments like these that pierce our hearts and fuel our mission. We stand together as a community to lift each other up, especially when life gets tough.
