The TouchPro grant helps create new opportunities to share stories, recognize achievements, and bring our community together. We’re excited to see this come to life at Durand Schools.

The Foundation received a thank you card from the Varsity girls volleyball team who requested a grant back in April for volleyball camp at MSU that they attended in July. We hope you had a great time at camp and have a very successful year. 💙🤍🚂🏐

Durand Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Douglas Shook, class of 1972, and Steven Zusack, class of 2002, as Durand High School Distinguished Alumni for 2024.

Doug Shook has worked with University of Southern California since the 1990’s and has served as Chief Information Officer, Vice Provost of Information Services and Professor of Clinical Data Sciences and Operations. He has been a presenter at numerous national IT Conferences and has an extensive list of publications on information technology and communications to his credit.

Steven Zusack is an aerospace engineer with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA. Zusack has earned academic awards, numerous awards for his project leadership at NASA and has published many articles dealing with astronomy, aeronautics, spaceflight and environmental explorations.

A reception and program honoring Shook and Zusack will be held at Durand Union Station on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 3-5 pm. The reception is free and open to the public.
