Too often, we flatten the conversation about fatherhood into opposing sides. 🤦🏽

❌ Fathers vs. mothers
❌ Rights vs. responsibilities
❌ Child support vs. parenting time
❌ Safety vs. access

When rooted in responsibility, safety, healing, and policy change, fatherhood advocacy is child advocacy. 👊 It’s the insistence that children shouldn’t lose a loving, capable, and willing parent simply because the systems designed to help families are adversarial, outdated, expensive, or indifferent.

This story captures what family transformation can look like. 👇

Our new Dad & Company fatherhood program invites co-parents and other family members to join along with dad. We call these participants “& Co’s,” and the first one to graduate speaks to the heart of why our work with fathers and their parenting teams matters: https://bit.ly/4vR35nR

In this case, the “& Co” was the dad’s mother, who used what she learned from our curriculum –- and the dads who shared their lived experience — to become more intentional about when she offered advice and how she offered it. She created more space for him to make parenting decisions and began treating him not only as her son, but also as a father with his own responsibilities and authority.

As her approach changed, her son became more engaged in his role as a father, and the entire family began to experience the benefits of healthier boundaries and stronger communication. 👏
