Doorway to Peace exists to support the people of Faugasse, Haiti. We do this by providing the opportunity to receive education, medical attention, clean water, and a place to worship. The Organization started with a small school in the community to allow children who wouldn't normally be able to attend school to have a chance to further their education. Due to the success of the school in the area
, we have expanded to provide medical care, with the completion of the Alercia Medical Clinic. Now residents in Faugasse have the chance to come see a nurse on a weekly basis, which is a rarity in Haiti. We have also installed two wells, providing clean water to the community free of charge. Part of our future vision is to install a Reservoir, allowing residents of the community the opportunity to bring running water to their property. We also support a local church. Currently, the church meets under an outdoor gazebo. After the earthquake, the church grew so much that they are now in need of a building to house the congregation. We are looking to build a church that can hold 400 people, as well as allow for space for training and prayer. We would love for you to participate in this project with us.
