AUDITION NOTICE:
Dunstable Theater Collaborative is holding auditions for the one-act political comedy TOWN MEETING by MICHAEL CALLAHAN. Director: Karen Majkut
DATES/TIMES/LOCATIONS:
Auditions: Monday, September 14 & Wednesday, September 16 from 7-9pm. No monologue required - sides will be available for cold reads of scenes. We will likely ask you to read for multiple characters alongside other auditionees.
Rehearsals: Mondays and Wednesdays, September 21-November 18 from 7-9pm
Performances: November 20 & 21 at 7pm, November 22 at 2pm
Location: Dunstable Town Hall, 511 Main St., Dunstable, MA

Senator Harry Hare: Experienced liberal politician, dull and non-charismatic.
Chad Cash: Wealthy conservative candidate buying his way ahead.
Sharon Wilson: Cynical and savvy intern for Cash.
Francis Torpey: Idealistic and honest intern for Hare.
Marsha Goodhop: Seasoned political pro and advisor to Hare.
Ron(da) Reimer: Cash's political advisor, expert dirt digger.
Jim Lemur: PBS moderator and debate MC.

SYNOPSIS:
The Town Meeting is a one-act comedic play by Michael Callahan that depicts a chaotic local assembly where citizens argue over absurd neighborhood issues rather than conducting official business. The narrative centers on a stressed moderator who struggles to maintain order as personal disputes overwhelm the proceedings, culminating in complete disorder before any real community matters are resolved.
