The IACC is an apolitical, non-religious, non-profit community center serving Iranian-Americans in the greater D.C. Beginning as a "virtual" site, the Center organizes social fundraising events to help increase awareness and its membership base. We recognize that many well intentioned IA organizations have attempted to bring the IA community closer in the past with mixed results. The most signific

ant assurance that the IACC provides in continually meeting the demands of its members is voting rights. This model enables us to meet the needs of those who we serve today, as well as the needs of those who will be served by others 50 years from now. Please visit our website.

Led by a National Park Ranger, this engaging experience will explore the fascinating history of Glen Echo Park, including the important civil rights movement that led to the park's desegregation. It is especially meaningful that our visit coincides with the Juneteenth holiday, a time to reflect on freedom, equality, and our shared history.

Along the way, we will also visit several of the park's iconic landmarks, including the Spanish Ballroom, the Arcade, and one of the resident art studios.

We’re pleased to invite you to a special afternoon of conversation and a book signing with local author Rebecca Morrison, co-hosted by Bijan Ghaisar Library and Pars Place, in conversation with Termeh Rassi.

Rebecca Morrison is a lawyer and writer whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC News, and more. She will discuss her debut novel, The Blue Dress—a heartfelt and uplifting story exploring identity, friendship, family expectations, and self-acceptance through the eyes of a young Iranian American girl navigating change and belonging. Inspired by the author’s own life, the novel offers a moving and relatable reflection on embracing one’s true self.

Rebecca will also share insights into her creative journey, the inspiration behind the book, and the important themes woven throughout the story, followed by an audience Q&A and book signing.
