One of Kentucky’s most magical experiences, the Kentucky Giant Trolls Road Trip will take you to visit 10 oversized trolls tucked into three fun stops across the Bluegrass State! Begin at Lake Malone State Park in Dunmor, where the Malone Family of Big Twigs waits along wooded paths, open fields, and lakeside spots. These six playful giants stand around 10, 14, and 17 feet tall, with Happy roasting marshmallows, Bobber fishing for bass and bluegill, Oakley enjoying the trails, Wattson watching fireflies, Annette chasing butterflies, and Paige curled up with a book. From there, head to Bernheim Forest near Clermont, a huge 16,000-acre forest with about 40 miles of trails and three famous Forest Giants created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo from recycled wood. Mama Loumari rests beneath the trees, Little Nis looks into Olmsted Pond, and Little Elina plays with stones. Finish in Louisville at Troll Pub Under the Bridge, an underground stone-walled restaurant watched over by a giant troll and known for burgers, bourbon, and Kentucky Hot Browns.
