We focus on bringing awareness to breast cancer prevention, early detection, and outsmarting a breast cancer diagnosis with a treatment course that is embraced by the individual. as changed or something is wrong." Each of us is our own best advocate. Check the girls.® directly supports Check The Girls Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides financial assistance to uninsured and underinsured women in need of mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and similar services.

I feel the need to share this with all of you. I received these today from the children of a gal I sent gas cards to. If it weren’t for all of you who donate and support Check The Girls Foundation, I wouldn’t be able to pay for mammograms and breast ultrasounds and send gas cards. So, these are for all of us. 🩷 Thank you for letting me share my passion with others…I couldn’t do it without you all!!

To date, Check the Girls Foundation has paid out over $150,000 in breast health exams or gas cards. That accounts for approximately 1,800 $50 gas cards alone.

None of this would be possible without the generous donations and people who help to raise the money to make these things happen!

Neighbors helping neighbors right here in our great state of Iowa. That’s what it’s all about. 🩷

🩷🩷This week alone, we’ve paid out over $3,700 in gas cards and medical expenses. And this is only possible because of all our generous fundraisers!! Thank you!! 🩷🩷

We finished off breast cancer awareness month strong. We received a check from the Boyer Valley School for their penny wars fundraiser. Final tally - 37,288 pennies! 😊

Today, I am using all that and other donations received this month to pay $803.60 in mammogram medical bills for women who don’t have insurance. In two cases, the mammograms were routine exams. In one case, the gal found a lump and needed to get it checked. Let’s pray she received good news. Over the past month alone, I’ve paid for over $2500 in mammograms and have mailed out several gas cards.

What would I do without all of you working to raise money to help our fellow Iowans? I couldn’t do what I do without all of YOU…from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of the patients you are helping, thank you!! 🩷

Thanks to Jazzercise Dunlap and Tara Christiansen and her entire family for organizing a great workout this morning for Check the Girls Foundation! We danced, sweated, moved and grooved! Thanks to everyone who came to support! 🩷

Thank you St Rose school in Denison, IA!! These littles and the school staff raised over $225 for Check the Girls Foundation!! Everyone paid $1 to wear pink. What a simple and touching tribute…we are honored you chose us to receive your donation! 🩷

Boyer Valley Pink Out night…this year, they raised the largest amount yet! Between the fundraising and an anonymous local donation, a total of $2,200 was raised tonight!

That brings today’s total to $4,200! All these generous donations will go back to help our Iowa neighbors in need! 🩷

PS - It was also a big night for the volleyball girls, with sweeping another tough conference team.

Today, I was honored to be presented with a check at the Schleswig branch for $2000 from all United Bank of Iowa branches! What a generous donation from the bank and all the employees who helped to make this happen! On behalf of the people who will directly benefit from this, thank you!! 🩷

Thanks to everyone who supported the Annual Schleswig Golf Course Pink Out! Today, Check the Girls Foundation accepted a donation from organizer Whitney Reimers totaling $5,150!!! 🩷 100% of this donation will go to help those in need - either to women who need breast health services or in the form of gas cards for those who are undergoing cancer treatment.

I often receive random thank you’s from people who were given a gas card or whose mammogram the Foundation paid for. I love them and have kept every single one. However, the messages inside are sometimes difficult to read. That just tells me that our work is not done. Thank YOU to everyone who supports Check the Girls Foundation! We’re all in this together to help and support each other! 🩷
