Local veterans were at the Sequatchie County Veterans Memorial Park yesterday for the first work session on the T-33 aircraft canopy.

Jim Quinn and David Talbott did the canopy work. Ben Boston kept the ladders and the slab covered and served as principal gofer. Jim mixed a two-part epoxy for the first stage of the repair.

Phase 2 comes after the epoxy fully sets: sanding, then coats of Flex Seal to bring the canopy back to display condition.

Thank you to these volunteers for keeping the aircraft displays at the park looking their best.
