To celebrate the 250th birthday of America, the Hardin Northern Public Library is pleased to announce that it will have a FREE showing of the Broadway musical, HAMILTON on Sunday, June 28 starting at 2:00 pm! The musical, set to a ground breaking blend of hip hop, R & B, and traditional show tunes, tells the sweeping story of founding father, Alexander Hamilton.
The musical won 11 Tony awards, the Pulitzer prize for drama, & a grammy for best musical theatre.
It is 2 hours & 40 minutes in length so there will be an intermission! And, subtitles (or "closed captioning") will be turned on!
Seating will be available but guests are welcome to take their own seating such as a lawn chair.
The library will provide snacks & bottle water.
So, "Don't throw away your shot!" at seeing the musical for the first time or the 100th time.
The showing is free and open to the public so feel free to share.

Imagination Station kicked off the summer reading program today! About 100 kids, parents, grandmas & grandpas, babysitters, and community members enjoyed seeing science in action! Thank you to everyone who came and supported the library program!
Next week, we'll welcome "The Exotic Zoo"

Wednesday, May 27 was a special day at the library. Family members of the late Donna Price, a member of the library board of trustees met with other trustees and community members to plant a Korean lilac tree, yellow mops and dianthus in memory of Donna.
Jo Beerman, Donna's aunt, approached the board of trustees saying the family wanted to do this in memory of Donna. Nathan Ruhlen, a library trustee and part of "Shepherd Outdoor Service" designed the memorial.
Donna was a valuable member of the board of trustees as well as the Hardin Northern Community. She is missed by all who knew her but will always be remembered with this memorial.

On Monday, May 25th, a flyover will take place over Dunkirk at 11:27 am.
The memorial day parade will begin at 1:00 pm.
Line up for the parade will be at 12:30 at the Dunkirk Dairy Dream.
The parade will make its way to the Dunkirk Cemetery where a program will begin at 1:30. Kyle Linke is this years speaker.
Please join us as we honor all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
