In June, five members of COI's Youth Corps, accompanied by two staff members, spent the day volunteering at the Chautauqua Safety Village in Ashville. The team worked hard to refresh the landscaping by pulling weeds, removing old mulch, replacing landscape fabric, and spreading fresh mulch.

Despite the hot, sunny weather, the youth tackled the project with enthusiasm, staying hydrated with plenty of cold water breaks along the way. After the work was complete, they enjoyed a tour of the Safety Village—many visiting for the first time since they were children—and celebrated a job well done with cold drinks from 7-Eleven.

A big thank you to the Chautauqua Safety Village for welcoming our Youth Corps and providing this opportunity to serve the community!

COI's Youth Corps events give young people the opportunity to make a positive impact through community service while building teamwork, leadership, and job readiness skills.

🎉 Congratulations to Abigail & Jacob Landean of 3 3 Lakes Cafe ☕🚐

We are thrilled to congratulate Abigail and Jacob on the completion and opening of their brand-new Mobile Coffee Trailer!

As recipients of the Microenterprise Assistance Program (MAP) Grant, the Landeans have continued to grow and expand their already thriving business. The MAP Grant helps support the creation and expansion of small businesses like theirs!

Their new mobile coffee trailer will allow them to bring their amazing coffee and friendly service to even more communities while creating new job opportunities in the area.

We are proud to have been a small part of their journey and can't wait to see all the success that lies ahead. Congratulations, Abigail and Jacob! Wishing you many miles, happy customers, and continued success! ☕💙
