Groundhog says 6 more weeks of Winter 🙈

We say 6 more weeks of hoops 🏀

🔥 Formal practices start this week as a result of last week’s weather. If you haven’t been notified, please contact our page and we will advise. First game this Saturday Feb 7th.

🗓️ In the meantime, how about a schedule drop. See below.

Please also understand that this schedule is subject to change with weather as well as with the success of our local high school basketball programs in the IHSAA State Tournament. Should the Jay County girls or boys reach the regional round or advance further in the state tournament, this schedule will be adapted accordingly.

We are looking forward to our Winter instructional basketball program being offered again this year. We want to take this time to thank Luke Goetz for his commitment the past two seasons. His contributions to the organization and the youth of our area has made a difference. At this time Luke has a pivotal role in helping lead the Jay County Patriots Boys Varsity Basketball Team. The commitment necessary in the Varsity Assistant role along with family and his work obligations does not allow time for the recreational coordinator duties at WJCC. We are proud of Luke and we look forward to supporting the Patriots for the remainder of their season.

Our team of volunteers are hopeful that you will continue to support our organization by registering for the basketball program. In order for this to be successful we need a large percentage of students from the area elementary schools to participate. The program is recreational in nature. We will develop skills, promote teamwork, and do all we can to deliver a positive experience. The program is a great opportunity for our youth to be active and interact in the community.

There will be forms going home from school later this week as another option. You can drop the completed form off at the center in the morning hours or bring it to the open registration dates that will be held at the following times:

Thursday Jan 8th from 5:30p-7:00p
Saturday Jan 10th from 9:30a-11:00a
Thursday Jan 15th from 5:30p-7:00p
Sunday Jan 18th from 11:30a-1:00p

We will have the gym open and additional forms available at these times for anyone who would like to register and see the facility. The kids can get a few shots in as well.
