Happy National Senior Citizens Day!

Today, Dungannon Development Commission, Inc. proudly celebrates the senior citizens who have helped shape our families, our communities, and the place we call home.

Their hard work, wisdom, stories, traditions, and years of service have helped build the foundation that future generations continue to stand on.

Today—and every day—we encourage everyone to take a moment to call, visit, thank, or simply spend time with a senior in your life. Sometimes the smallest gesture can mean the most.

To all of the seniors throughout Dungannon, Scott County, and our surrounding communities:

We appreciate you. We value you. And we thank you for all you have given to our community.

World Humanitarian Day | August 19

Today, Dungannon Development Commission, Inc. joins people around the world in recognizing World Humanitarian Day — a day that reminds us of the power of helping others.

You don’t have to travel across the world to make a difference. Humanitarian spirit can begin right here at home — with a neighbor helping a neighbor, a volunteer giving their time, a donated item finding its way to someone who needs it, or a community coming together during difficult times.

At Dungannon Development Commission, we believe stronger communities are built through compassion, service, and people willing to lend a helping hand.

Today, we thank our volunteers, supporters, community partners, donors, and everyone who chooses to make life a little better for someone else.

Small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
