William “Bill” S. Mundy, Jr., 90, of Dunellen, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born in Plainfield, he was a lifelong Dunellen resident and a licensed funeral director for more than 60 years at The Mundy Funeral Home, serving generations of families with compassion and care. He was a graduate of Dunellen High School and attended Albright College and the American Academy of Funeral Service.

Bill was a devoted community member, including 65 years with the Dunellen–Green Brook Rotary Club, where he served as president and scholarship chair, and was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. A lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dunellen, he served as Deacon, Elder, and Sunday School teacher.

He was predeceased by his wife, Louise. Surviving are his son, William S. Mundy, III (Phyllis); daughter, Kathleen “Kathi” Zucchero (John); sister, Bette “Boo” Ruh; three grandchildren; his loving caregiver, Olena, and extended family.

Visitation will be Friday, May 8, from 2–4 PM and 6–8 PM at 142 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen (former Mundy Funeral Home). Funeral service Saturday, May 9, at 11 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Dunellen, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery.
