We preserve and promote our Scottish heritage, and are committed to support the youth in Scottish programs in the Dunedin Middle and High School Pipe Bands, Scottish Highland Dancers, and students of our Genealogy program. Many of our more than 200 members hail from the British Isles adding their knowledge of the customs and traditions we all enjoy. Our Scottish Cultural Center was designated the City of Dunedin's first Historic Landmark in 2019, and we are located in downtown Dunedin at 917 Louden Avenue. We are also the home of Celtic Concerts offering the best in Celtic Music and great Wh**ky tastings!

Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends and members! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Did you know Canada’s Thanksgiving story goes back to 1578 β€” 43 years before the Pilgrims celebrated Thanksgiving in America?

On Baffin Island in what is now Nunavut, English explorer Martin Frobisher and his crew held a ceremony of thanksgiving after surviving their journey across the Atlantic Ocean.

Long before Thanksgiving became the Canadian holiday we know today, this moment marked a tradition of gratitude on Canadian soil.

Today, Canadians from coast to coast gather with family and friends to celebrate, share a meal, and appreciate the people and blessings in their lives.

From the Atlantic to the Pacific, and from the Arctic to our southern communities, Canada has so much to be thankful for. ❀️🍁

Happy Thanksgiving to every Canadian celebrating today! May your day be filled with family, warmth, gratitude, and Canadian pride. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Hey our Facebook friends. We would like to give the inside of our hall a facelift. Can anyone recommend a painter to take on the job at a reasonable price? We need the ceiling and the main hall done. We would love some good recommendations, thanks
