FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3rd – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5th
All proceeds benefit the Children's Cancer Center of Tampa, The Morton Plant Mease Foundation's Mammogram Voucher Program and John & Kelley- members of our community and Cricketers' Family battling cancer. The fun starts Friday at 5PM with a Theme on this night of “Wig Out”. Complimentary haircuts will be given to those who wish to donate 10 inches of hair
or more by Salon de Andrade. Ponytails will be sent to Children With Hair Loss (CWHL). All hair donors will receive a gift bag containing 5 raffle tickets and other goodies. Come eat dinner, get a haircut and enjoy the music!! “Cellfish” (one of the band members is a cancer survivor) will be performing from 5-7:30 pm and Hope Darling will be taking the outside stage at 8 pm. Saturday our theme is “Med Rock”. Members of each band are affiliated with the medical profession. There will be a pizza-eating contest. Pizzas will be donated by Hungry Howie’s. Various musical artists from the medical field will start performing at 3pm. Taking the outdoor stage at 6 pm is the Cody River Band. Strange Brew will perform 8 – 10 pm and Doctor Idol winners, Doyle’s Revenge, will finish the night from 10 – midnight. Sunday is "Survivor's Day". Everyone is invited to join us for the Dunedin Causeway Fun Run/Walk. The Fun Run will start at 10 am and walk will start at 10:30am. Registration forms are available at http://cricketerspub.com/htm/CutCancerOut.html. Enjoy the Dunedin Causeway on a Sunday morning or come and support the runners and walkers. Music starts at 11 am with Beach Bum Pirate and Eccentric will play from 2 - 6 pm. The weekend will end with the fabulous music of the Greg Billings Band playing 6:30 – 9pm. There will be FREE face painting all 3 days. For the second year, we will have “Hope Trees”. These trees will be displayed at the event, and will be adorned with wishes from people who want to send a message to those who have struggled with or lost their battle to cancer. The trees will then be donated to the city of Dunedin, to be planted somewhere in the community. We hope their growth and stability will stand as a sign of the world’s determined fight against cancer. Starting now, we will be selling raffle tickets. Prize drawings will be held on October 5th (you do not need to be present to win). Prizes to be announced. Tickets are $5 a piece. There will also be a silent auction for some of the larger prizes. Auction will run all three days and winners will be notified the following week. WAYS TO DONATE:
