Today our Buffalo Creek Watershed members had the opportunity to travel to the West Virginia State Capitol for Environmental day! 🌿 We brought tons of attention to our amazing student-based organization and got to show off our new coloring book at our booth. We were able to gain some knowledge and inspiration from other various watersheds around the state.

Hiking in the cold is not for everyone!

Today our Buffalo Creek Watershed members traveled to the old town of Swandale and had the opportunity to measure the water quality of streams to ensure the health of local water systems. As we hiked a total of 8 miles, we came across various animal tracks and more!

A big shout out to West Virginia Environmental Protection Services for their dedication to preserving our natural resources!
