Next year the Baltimore Arena will be 65 years old. That's old enough to retire if it was a person.

We desperately need a new arena to serve as anchor to attract businesses, provide entertainment and an event space, and serve as an anchor of the future of our community.

With the press conference on Tuesday announcing Anduril's new manufacturing contract and the jobs it will directly and indirectly bring to the area, I hope this inspires our next round of elected officials to look at my proposal for building an arena district at the Eastpoint Mall location.

We get one shot at getting it right, we need our elected officials to step up, work out a landswap deal and take control of that value propertly before it's lost to "Warehouses."

The Independent Party now has a page.

The page will be used to share updates about the party’s development, petition effort, organization, events, and other information as the project moves forward.

Looking toward the 2030 election, the goal of the Independent Party is to create a structure that gives independent candidates meaningful ballot access without requiring each candidate to individually petition for office.

The party also aims to provide independent candidates with organizational resources and support similar to what candidates affiliated with established parties have access to, while allowing members to remain independent in their own views rather than requiring adherence to a single political ideology.

Give a follow, consider helping organize. The current plan for our petition effort is to run July 1, 2027 until June 30, 2029. We want to be up and running before the 2030 election.
