Clean Bread and Cheese Creek Community Cleanups

Each Year the Clean Bread And Cheese Creek collects hundreds of toys for children in Baltimore with the goal of collecting more than the previous year. Beginning October 1st we accept new unwrapped toy donation at any event we attend. If you would like to make a large donation we will gladly come pick it up!

We are also looking for ANY Businesses willing to host a
Toys for Tots Drop Off Box.

Hosting a Drop Off Box is simple and no effort:
Step 1: Call us and let us know you want to help
Sept 2: We drop off the Box and place it where you want
Step 3: Call us if the box fills up, if not we will pick it up December 9th
That’s it!

If you wish the Baltimore Krampus will come out to your business for an appearance for photos, story telling and more!

The Clean Bread And Cheese Creek truck is being towed to a local mechanic who is going to start tearing apart the engine to see if it is fixable, if not the engine will need replaced. Fingers crossed the engine can be repaired because that would be much a cheaper and quicker repair to be ready for Toys for Tots Season!

I just found out I’m receiving an award from Toys for Tots for the donations I’ve been collecting for local kids in need.

I’m incredibly honored… and also really heartbroken. My truck is broken down right now, and without it I won’t be able to gather and deliver the usual volume of toys this year.

These kids count on the help every holiday season. If the truck isn’t fixed, I’m not sure how I’ll keep up.

Please help me keep helping them. Any support — repairs, alternatives, or just sharing this — means the world.

It cost me $163.55 to rent a van for 24 hours to bring back the Toys for Tots donations from Oakenmist Renaissance Faire last weekend. This is why I need to get my truck repaired so desperately. Working for a nonprofit does not pay the best unfortunately and last year I had to make 33 toy pickups at various locations. If you can help it is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Everyone suggested I use SpotFund to get this repaired and although I feel really bad asking for help, I have no other options. For over two decades, my trusty 1990 Ford F-150 has been more than just a vehicle—it's been my companion in countless Toys for Tots drives and environmental cleanups around Dundalk, Maryland. This truck, with its sturdy 4x4 frame and history as a farm vehicle, has faithfully transported toys to children and hauled away debris from local parks, embodying my dedication to the community. With only 32,384 miles, it's still full of life, but now needs some essential engine repairs that I've been unable to tackle on my own.
Recently, I invested over $2,000 to prepare the truck for this season's efforts because losing it would be like losing a part of myself and my ability to give back. My usual mechanic, who doesn't specialize in engine repairs, recommended finding someone trustworthy to get the job done right. I'm reaching out for help so that I can continue using this invaluable resource to support causes close to my heart. Thank you for considering being part of this journey with me.

It is with a very heavy heart I must this is is most likely the end of Clean Bread and Cheese Creek Community Cleanups. J&K Automotive just informed me the engine is almost gone and it is most likely the camshaft. We have only received 1 or 2 small donations a year from private individuals (which we are very grateful for) and the rest of the funds for the cleanups have been coming out of my own pocket but unfortunately I do not have the money to repair the truck or buy another one. This is out twentieth year cleaning up around the Dundalk Community and with ought the truck we will not be able to do it anymore. We truly appreciate the support we have had over the years and all the incredible volunteer who helped us for so long. We are very sad to see it most likely coming to an end...
