Tough day to be an Eagle or Lady Eagle in the MVBC. Our girls lost a heartbreaker in the finals of the Triboro Challenge to Montrose 27-25. Great season capturing the Regular season championship and reaching finals of the tournament.

Our Senior boys fell to Susquehanna 49-37 in consolation semifinals of the T-Town Throwdown. Great last couple of weeks for a team that started 1-9 and won three of their last 5 games.

Best of luck to all our 6th graders. May you all continue to Junior High. I truly believe Mountain View has 2 of the finest coaches at that level and your son/daughter will continue to grow as a player and have an experience that goes beyond basketball.

Yours in Basketball,
Coach Gesford

Great day for the MVBC. Girls Senior team advances to the championship with a 32-17 win over Susquehanna. Girls will face Montrose in the championship at 2:10 @ Susquehanna Elementary.

Sixth-seeded Senior Boys team upset 3-seed Lackawanna Trail for their third straight win before falling to Tunkhannock in semis. Boys will play Susquehanna in Consolation Semis at 1pm @ Tunkhannock Middle School.

Good luck to both teams!!!!!!

Love my MVBC guys!!! Travelled to Elk Lake to play the top and second best teams in their respective divisions and took both games into the second half and put a scare into them.

Also, a shout out to the Boys Senior team that fell in the Consolation Finals to a good Choconut team.

Congratulations to our MVBC Junior Girls team capturing the Lady Saber Showdown to win the Endless Mountains Basketball Association End of year Junior tournament in thrilling fashion with a come from behind 21-19 win to defeat regular season Champion Elk Lake. Great job girls and Coaches Sedlak and Sanders.

Also a big shout out to the MVBC Junior Boys team. Came up short in the Consolation Final to finish in fourth place, but played both games with only 5 players - Great job to the Fab Five: Hudson Bain, Jordan Jagger, Mason Keyes, Lucas Gesford, & Josh Miller. Coach Gesford loves you guys even if it doesn't sound like it sometimes.
