It's about that time of year again!! The holidays will be here before we know it!! Has this year flown by or is it just me??
🎅 The Soldiers’ Angels Adopt-A-Family program will be kicking off October 5th. I look forward to this every year. If anyone is interested in helping with a family, please let me know!!
🎄 If you’re not familiar with the program, it’s much like an Angel tree. Veteran and military families apply for the program and are screened to ensure there is a need for assistance. They provide wishlists and sizes for the kids under 18. We are required to provide at least one gift per child and a $50 giftcard for food so that the family may purchase items for a holiday dinner.
🎁 Once registration is open I pick a family, usually based on the amount of people I have participating in comparison to family size to make sure we will be able to cover the minimum requirements. (We always surpass this ❤️) I collect all the items- usually by the first week of December- box them up and ship them to the family. If you have any more questions, please feel free to reach out!

This year we will also have a food drive for Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin. The donation table will be set up at the intersection of Highways D and W here in Rochester, on the corner beside the New To You store.
PLEASE NOTE - this food drive will occur BEFORE the parade starts, so please drop off all items BEFORE 1:30 pm.
