Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade percussion on their phenomenal performance today at the South Carolina Day of Percussion! They have been preparing their pieces since January, and performed for a panel of adjudicators at the event today, finishing with a Superior rating!

In addition to their performance, the students also got a chance to learn about Samba music - some of them even get to play on Brazilian instruments alongside high school and college students!

To conclude an awesome weekend of music-making, please help us congratulate Miles Shands who had the honor of performing with the 2026 SC All-State Orchestra at Furman University today!

Miles was given the opportunity to perform with the 2026 SC All-State Orchestra for the extraordinary achivement of being named the SCBDA All-State 1st Chair Junior Horn. He will return to Furman University later in March to attend the SCBDA All-State Junior Band.

Once again, please help us in congratulating Miles for tremendous achievement!

Look at our awesome Beech Springs band students participating in the SCBDA Region 6 Band Clinic! These 18 students auditioned back in January and earned a spot in the Region 6 Junior and Alternate Bands. They are hard at work learning an entire concert in TWO days and performing it on Saturday along with students from Spartanburg School District 5!
