Registration is opening soon for the 2026 Oklahoma 4-H Virtual Fishing Tournament—a fun, flexible way for youth to learn fishing skills, get outside, and compete statewide!

Show off your skills at the Oklahoma 4-H Horse and Dog Communication Contest! 🐴🐶

Join us Saturday, Feb. 7, at Agricultural Hall in Stillwater for a day of competition featuring the Horse and Dog Communication Contests, Horse Quiz Bowl and the announcement of Horse and Dog Digital Photography Contest results. Speech contests begin at 9 a.m., followed by quiz bowl in the afternoon after the awards presentation. 🏆

Photography entries do not require participants to be present. Registration is due Jan. 19 through ZSuite. The fee is $10 per contestant and includes all speech contests and quiz bowl. For more information and to register, visit 4h.okstate.edu/events/4-h-horse-events. ✍️

🌊 Ahoy, Oklahoma 4-H! Ready for an adventure? ⛵️

Grab your eye patch and join us for 4-H Night at the Science Museum — this year with a pirate twist! Explore the museum after hours, catch a Planetarium show, experience Science Live!, and dive into hands-on pirate activities like knot tying, vortex cannons and secret maps. 🗺️

The event is open to everyone! 4-H’ers can invite friends and family. Youth must attend with a chaperone who is at least 21 years old. All participants must have a copy of their current youth participation form or adult medical form. Pirate-themed dress is encouraged, so let’s see your swashbuckling style! 🏴‍☠️

🗓 Schedule: Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. to Jan. 24 at 7:30 a.m.
📍 Location: Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City
🏷 Cost: $50 for youth, $25 for adults/chaperones

🐮 Livestock Quiz Bowl & Skillathon Coming Up! 🐑
📅 March 31st – District Contest

Attention all livestock enthusiasts! We are getting ready for the Livestock Quiz Bowl and Livestock Skillathon Contest happening on March 31st, and we’d love to have Stephens County 4-H members participate!

If you’re interested in competing, get with Kaylie so we can start organizing teams. If we’re able to put together multiple teams, we’ll even host practice contests right here at the Extension Office to help everyone prepare.

This is an awesome opportunity for our show kids to dive deeper into the livestock world and connect their main project area to another fun, educational aspect of 4-H. It’s a great way to build knowledge, confidence, and teamwork!
