Hi, I’m Katelyn—a wife, proud mom of three, and someone who runs almost entirely on caffeine and chaos! When I’m not chasing kids or crossing things off my to-do list, you’ll usually find me surrounded by animals. I have three dogs, a cat, and more chickens than I probably need (but I wouldn’t have it any other way!).

I’m part of the team at K9 Confetti Grooming, where I get to help care for some amazing pups, and I also coach at High Flyers Gymnastics, helping young athletes build confidence and skills. On top of that, I’m honored to serve on the PTO board at Dumas North Elementary because supporting our kids and community is something I’m passionate about.

Life is busy, messy, and full of love—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

All of us with the Moore County Animal Society want to take the time to thank those amazing citizens who helped us raise money for our Kennel Lock Up fundraiser. We want to share some info about these special folks. If you see them around, tell them thanks!

Morgan Hightower....I grew up in Sunray and graduated high school in 1992, played a short stint of football at WTSU (WTAMU) and eventually graduated from Seward County Community College in Liberal, KS with an Associates in Criminal Justice in 1997, I graduated from Panhandle Regional Law Enforcement Academy in May of 2000 and immediately went to work for the Wheeler County Sheriff's Office as a patrol deputy where I gained a wealth of knowledge from the men that I was honored to work under. In December 2002, I was given the chance to move back home. I started with the Moore Co. Sheriff's Office in January 2003 under then Sheriff HT Montgomery. I have held every position and rank other than court house deputy and school resource officer in my tenure with the county. In November 2020 I was honored to have been elected Sheriff and honored once again in November 2024. It has been an honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Moore County for the past 23 and a half years.

This is a fine bunch of people! Your Moore County Animal Society Board Members and volunteers. And those that were so gracious as to help us raise money and getting “locked up”.
We had a good turn out- and we sold lots of Pulled Pork Sandwiches and delicious baked goods.
We raised money that we will be able to use to help shelter pets.
Thank you to everyone who helped, shared the posts and came out to support this cause!

We will be doing lots of activities- so become a member and join us!
