The Dumas Bobcats Alumni Association originated in 2019 as a program that would allow former Dumas Bobcat Alumni a pathway to give back to their Alma Mater, provide council and mentorship, and prepare our community for a better tomorrow.

Please Join Our President (Eric W. Nelson) and the Dumas Bobcats Alumni Association in celebrating our commitment to community involvement and support for future generations.

Since our founding in 2019, we have awarded over $23,000 in scholarships to Dumas graduates, empowering our local youth on their paths to higher education. We encourage former students to give back through mentorship and scholarship opportunities.

This year, we are thrilled to announce our outstanding scholarship awardees, selected by their teachers, administrators, and leadership.

A heartfelt thank you to the Dumas School Board for their unanimous support in allowing the Dumas Bobcats Alumni Association to present our proposal to name the basketball court in honor of Arkansas Hall of Fame Coach Van Holt.

This proposal reflects something deeply important to our community — we will continue to honor the legacy of Mr. Carlbert Brewer, for whom the gymnasium is named, while also recognizing the athletic excellence, discipline, and championship culture established by Coach Holt on that very court.

Two legacies. One program. One standard of excellence.

We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate both men and to inspire future generations of Dumas Bobcats. 🐾🏀
