22nd Year of Supporting Our Troops! We do accept donations to send care packages to military bases overseas. For safety reasons, we do not share names or addresses of our adopted units. The deadline for receiving donations is November 21 to give our volunteers time to sort and pack for mailing the first week in December. This allows for the two-week shipping time to overseas bases and to arrive in time for Christmas. We will not ship items that have expired or have been opened.

If you would prefer to help us with postage to get the packages overseas, please visit our website for instructions on how you can make a financial donation. This is one of our largest expenses!

Update at Ft. Stewart.

5 Soldiers shot in active shooter incident

(FORT STEWART, Georgia) – Five Soldiers were shot today in an active shooter incident in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area. All Soldiers were treated on-site and moved to Winn Army Community Hospital for further treatment. There is no active threat to the community.

Law enforcement was dispatched for a possible shooting in the 2nd ABCT complex at 10:56 a.m. The shooter was apprehended at 11:35 a.m.

The installation was locked down at 11:04 a.m. and Fort Stewart lifted the lockdown of the main cantonment area at 12:10 p.m. 2nd ABCT complex is still locked down.

Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to treat the wounded Soldiers at 11:09 a.m.

The incident remains under investigation and no additional information will be released until the investigation is complete.

Lockdown your facility immediately, stay inside, close and lock all windows and doors. Keep telephone lines open and report accountability to your leadership.

The fourth U.S. Army Soldier assigned to 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division was found deceased near Pabradė, Lithuania the afternoon of April 1.

"This past week has been devastating. Today our hearts bear the weight of an unbearable pain with the loss of our final Dogface Soldier," said Maj. Gen. Christopher Norrie, 3rd Inf. Div. commanding general. “Though we have received some closure, the world is darker without them.”
