A Family- Oriented Cultural Event
Taiwanese cuisine is internationally renowned and culturally diverse. Taiwanese cuisine has gradually over the years integrated the essence of western dishes to achieve a unique blend of eastern and western flavors. The Festival will feature vendors that specialize in Taiwanese cuisine along with many local Duluth restaurants. In addition, two famous chefs from T
aiwan will be present to demonstrate a few specialty dishes. We will also have a special local guest, Chef Jessica Ray.Local Duluth Restaurants International Food category includes: Greece/Germany/Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Italian/French American/Vietnamese/South America
The featured entertainments include live performances such as a Tai-Chi Chuan demonstration, Chinese Lion dance, traditional Chinese music and dancing. Also, there will be many fun activities for children. Date: August 30, 2014, Saturday

台灣美食的魅力近年登上國際舞台,台灣的美食包括台灣本地 同的特别菜餚及變化百般的小吃。2012 年更有CNN製作了台灣美食的報導,包括滷肉飯,牛肉麪,刈包,鹽酥雞,鳳梨酥及其他各樣的小吃, 實為台灣軟實力的象徵。
為了推展台灣美食,曁配合僑委會特選的兩位廚藝大師蒞美巡迴示範推廣台灣美食活動, 僑務委員李本泉, 黄美美, 葉建榮于5月18日(星期日), 在亞特蘭大華僑文教服務中召開2014台灣美食展第一次籌備會議, 大會選出王祥瑞為籌備會總幹事,尤思治, 吳昌武及曾超漢為副總幹事, 並由亞城衆多社團分担各項工作.
為響應僑委會政策推廣台灣美食至主流社會及國際化, 2014台灣美食展籌備會將與亞特蘭大都洛斯市(Duluth City)合辧國際美食展園遊會並以台灣美食為主. 時間訂於八月三十日 (星期六)早上十一點到下午六點在Duluth Festival Center (3142 Hill St NW, Duluth, GA 30096 ). 園遊會包括美食攤位,文化攤位各種中華文化展示,並有現場表演例如:古筝,民族舞蹈等。當天兩位廚藝大師也將做現場示範幾項美食的製作程序。我們也邀請到德國, 法國, 義大利, 希臘, 日本, 韓國等不同美食專家現場示範及與來賓品嚐示範成品. 這將是一場國際性的饗宴, 包括了全方位(視, 味及聴覺)的享受. 竭誠歡迎閤家光臨並請邀約中外友人一起共赴這場台灣文化的盛宴!
