Well, the rain gods decided that we should reschedule our build. Not only that, we moved it indoors, so no more being chased by the weather. Thank you to the hardy souls from Credit Union on Tower for gamely showing up this morning.

Turns out wind chill of 36 degrees with sideways drizzle is not a good time for sanding boards. But, with 20 more applicants for beds, we definetly need not only beds but also MATTRESSES! Locals can purchase in person Sleeper in Duluth or online with the QR code.

Thank you for your help!

On the day before a bed build a group of volunteers load a truck with the lumber needed for the beds. It will be unloaded and stations set up in the morning at the site. It takes a team!

There’s a bed build scheduled for tomorrow, Monday! Here’s hoping the rain gods are kind to us, as the build in outdoors.

A BIG Thank You to the French River Lutheran Church for the beds they made. 30 beds! Many hands get the job done!

Every bed helps us toward our mission: No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town.
